About Me

Sylvie Braverman Counsellor and Psychotherapist

I'm a Clinical Counsellor registered with PACFA, based in Melbourne. Clients often describe me as compassionate, warm, non-judgmental, and professional.

Many of the clients I work with are first responders grappling with trauma, depression, and anxiety, impacting both themselves and their relationships. Some cope through methods like avoidance, substance abuse, or self-harm, which initially offer relief but later create further challenges, others experience anger and lack of tolerance, which they are puzzled about and desperately want to manage.

I hold a strong belief in the profound impact of relationships on every facet of our existence – from our emotional and physical health to our capacity for learning and performance at work. That's why I strive to cultivate a therapeutic environment where clients feel secure to explore deeply personal matters.

In therapy, my goal is to empower clients, guiding them to discover their voice and gain a deeper understanding of their experiences. I foster a mindful curiosity towards emotions and symptoms, encouraging exploration and introspection.

Together, we'll journey towards deeper self-awareness and comprehension of your emotional expression, paving the way for personal growth and healing.
