I am a Melbourne based therapist. Many of my clients are first respondents, who present with issues of trauma, depression and anxiety affecting both themselves and their relationships.
I believe that the quality of our relationships has a direct influence on all areas of our life, including emotional and physical health, capacity to learn, and work.
As a therapist, I seek to empower my clients and help them find their own voice and help them develop a deeper understanding of their experiences.
By working with me, you will be able to gain greater understanding and awareness of yourself your emotions and vulnerabilities. You will learn strategies to cope with and regulate these emotions effectively.
I view you as an expert on your life's experience and will work very closely to get to know you to understand your needs and goals.
‘Counselling’ may mean sitting with someone creating a safe space in which the individuals can speak freely without judgment; it may involve problem-solving and learning new ways of thinking or coping. It can also include reminding individuals of their strengths. Because we are all unique, I believe that therapy needs to fit an individual rather than an individual to fit the model. To that end, I am influenced by several Gold standard modalities and consider myself a pluralist therapist
